ABOUT THE PROGRAM

This program is designed to help educate citizens and build leadership capacity in Belize to work in government or alongside government, civil society, or in the private sector. It aims to build a growing network of innovative and ethical change makers who seek to drive change in their communities while developing and supporting one another. This program seeks to lift up a new generation of civically active, positive role models who are prepared to create tangible solutions to the challenges in our communities, throughout Belize.

Virtual Conversations

Over nine months, Fellows come together for monthly virtual meeting to discuss some of the most challenging issues confronting Belize with the community leaders and subject experts leading the conversations.

Our Core Values

These five core values embody our culture. They keep us aligned and help us make decisions about everything from the Fellows we serve to the people we hire.

Think For Yourself.
Do not rely on others to keep you informed and base your opinions on what others tell you.  Look up information on your own and think critically about it to formulate your own opinions, and allow yourself to change perspective when new information presents itself.

Team Up and Join forces.
Change begins with one person, one donation or one idea, but our strength is really from moving together to create meaningful change.

 Always Do the Right Thing.
Act with integrity at all times especially when nobody’s watching.

 Be intentional.
Getting clear up front your specific desired outcome or results.

Use Your Voice.
Speak Up, Speak Out and Don’t be Spoken For!

Civic Engagement Projects

Fellows complete the program by doing a collaborative project or a series of small individual projects in their communities that inspire civic engagement.

We are delighted to welcome the first class of Fellows this September. Meet them below!
